Part of NaviAsia Consulting Groups strength is the relationship with the Supply Chain Support Group (based in China). The Supply Chain Support Group works solely for clients interested or already receiving products from Asia. The Supply Chain Support Group provides the outsourcing of the management of the foreign supply chain. Supply Chain Support Group is the wholly owned, independently operated, subsidiary of NaviAsia Consulting Group, Inc. The role is not to be the sellers agent but instead to work for the client with the fiduciary duty in providing the appropriate support needed for companies that have found it too expensive or too difficult to have an in-country presence.

In order to provide the quality of service expected, the Supply Chain Support Group recruits and is composed of high-quality individuals with multilingual and cultural experience, plus specific functional experience in purchasing, quality, finance, information technology, and logistics.

Typical benefits that clients receive are the immediate presence of high-quality management in Asia, immediate familiarity with cultural, language and governmental barriers, and cost savings in comparison to building an in-country team or trying to manage outside of the Asian marketplace.

The Supply Chain Support Group can work with NaviAsia consultants. For example, NaviAsia consultants are working on a Strategic Sourcing Engagement and have identified savings in sourcing product from China. However, looking at the total cost of ownership and our client’s capabilities, it would be more cost advantageous and impactful if our client outsource the management of the Chinese purchases. This is where Supply Chain Support Group becomes active in supporting our clients needs by handling the management of supply chain. Additionally, this complementary value-add also shows our dedication in supporting our client and assisting in implementing recommendations.
